It is generally agreed that peer research “recognises that individuals within any community being researched are themselves competent agents, capable of participating in research on a variety of levels, including as researchers” (Higgins et al, 2007: 105).

Using a peer research methodology, we focus on understanding people’s experiences of accessing services and support, the transitions they make, and how the broad system of support operates for people experiencing multiple disadvantage
